The Independent Home Care Alliance (IHCA) Announces Formation of Advisory CouncilApr 26, 2021
An Advisory Council that defines and redefines standards for membership
Nashville, TN: IHCA is a Tennessee-based organization which serves a group of independent home care owners and independent home care leaders across the country who want to cooperatively share best practices and other information in a closed community of their peers. They work together to improve the experiences of independent home care owners, their employees and their clientele alike.
Membership and alliance efforts will be led by Joelle Higgins, who has worked in the health and home care industry for almost twenty years and has also been involved with emerging healthcare technology. During her consulting role, she led projects with HCA, CHS and Twelvestone Health, among others. Most recently Joelle was with Encompass Health. She is an advocate of independent agencies who don't have extensive resources to support them and is eager to help "connect the dots" to get them the help they need. Joelle holds a BS of Communication and Public Relations from The University of Southern Indiana.
"I am very pleased to have been asked to serve the Council of Advisors for IHCA and support its strategic planning and execution in the marketplace," said Joelle Higgins, Alliances Manager. "IHCA offers the agencies who join the IHCA network many benefits like established best practices, group discounts, curated vendors, performance coaching, operations support, and an integrated managed solutions BPO."

"This is an important milestone for IHCA," said Kunu Kaushal, Founder and Advocate of IHCA. "We thoughtfully curated this Council to include engaged expert owners, operators and leaders whose collective experience we believe ensures IHCA has the guidance it needs to navigate its way through the current and future threats to the independent home care market. The sole intent of the alliance is to focus on supporting independents so that they survive and thrive as top-tier leaders in the home care industry.”
