The Independent Home Care Alliance (IHCA) Announces Formation of Advisory Council

An Advisory Council that defines and redefines standards for membership

Nashville, TN: IHCA is a Tennessee-based organization which serves a group of independent home care owners and independent home care leaders across the country who want to cooperatively share best practices and other information in a closed community of their peers. They work together to improve the experiences of independent home care owners, their employees and their clientele alike.

Membership and alliance efforts will be led by Joelle Higgins, who has worked in the health and home care industry for almost twenty years and has also been involved with emerging healthcare technology. During her consulting role, she led projects with HCA, CHS and Twelvestone Health, among others. Most recently Joelle was with Encompass Health. She is an advocate of independent agencies who don't have extensive resources to support them and is eager to help "connect the dots" to get them the help they need. Joelle holds a BS of Communication and Public Relations from The University of Southern Indiana.

Morrison, President at At Home Senior Care in Manchester Center, Vermont (founded in 2006); Tina Gillette, Founder and CEO, at Senior Home Care of Tucson in Tucson, AZ (founded in 2012); and Jake Fackrell, CEO, at A First Name Basis in Baton Rouge, LA.

IHCA offers national voice and elite standards such as pre-negotiated group purchasing discounts with the home care industry’s top vendors and access to best practices from the nation’s top home care legal practitioners.
